It’s half-past August and summer is winding down fast!!  It seems we look forward to it all winter and then it’s gone in a flash.  But don’t despair…the Fall is a beautiful time to be here too…the crowds are gone, the mornings are cool and the days are warm and clear…and there is plenty to do after Labor Day…see the Out and About section below.

Please don’t forget to come up to the Badge House and look at all the Silver Beach apparel that is available for sale.  The proceeds of these sales go toward our lifeguard’s banquet at the end of the season…so come show our guards how much you appreciate all they do to keep us safe!!

OCEAN BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The Ocean Beach Fire Department will hold its next Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, August 24th from 8am-11am at the Firehouse on Kittiwake Ave., east of Rt. 35 North.  Come out and support the guys who keep your homes safe summer and winter! 

OCEAN BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT GOLF OUTING

The Ocean Beach Fire Department will hold its annual golf outing at Bey Lea Golf Course in Toms River on Thursday, October 2^nd.  For further information, stop in at the Chadwick Bait Shop.

BAY HEAD FIRE CO. ANNUAL CLAM BAKE

The Bay Head Fire Co. Annual Clam Bake will be held Saturday, August 16^th from noon-5pm at the Firehouse on Bridge Ave., Bay Head.

WILDWOOD CRAFT SHOW

The Wildwood Craft Show will be held Saturday-Sunday, August 16^th–17^th on the Boardwalk, south of the Convention Center, in Wildwood.

THE ROUSTABOUTS CONCERT

The Roustabouts, a 50s rock ‘n’ roll group, will appear on Friday, August 22^nd from 7-8:30pm at the Upper Shores Library on Rt. 35 S in Lavallette.

THE NERDS CONCERT
